Asynchronous e-Learning Days

What is e-Learning?

During its 2017 session, the legislature amended the "Length of School Year; Hours of Instruction" to include the option of up to 5 e-Learning days due to inclement weather that do count as instructional days for students.  Beyond potentially extending the school year due to missed days, an e-Learning day has the added benefit of preparing students for their future by offering opportunities including but not limited to:
  • Practicing self-discipline to complete required work from home or offsite.
  • e-Learning days will help some of our students have among their first experiences with online learning; many students will participate in online course during their college or professional learning experience after graduation.
  • One of our focus goals is to prepare all students for the rigors of college and career and working in an online environment will likely be integral to work in the 21st Century.
