Vision 2025
3/24/2015 8:28 AM

In late spring of 2014, the Vision 2025 Initiative was launched. A lot has been going on behind the scenes so we thought it was time to provide the community with a recap of what has been taking place. Please take a few minutes to watch and listen as Board Chair, Vince O'Brien walks you through the process and what is next as the process continues.  A link has been provided below, but the video is also available on our our District Facebook page.

As a district we strive to inform, listen to, and engage the community we serve in order to celebrate, support, and share the mission of our district.  Facebook is just one more tool we will utilize to make this happen.

On April 9, 2014 Governor Dayton signed the Safe and Supportive Schools Act. This act required Minnesota school districts to implement a Bullying Policy beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. Our district had had a bullying policy in place for a number of years and the new legislation provided an opportunity for review and refinement. Please click above for more information or to download the district's Bullying Report Form.

Weather Related Closing and/or Delay Information
1/6/2015 11:59 AM
The Hastings Public Schools website is the fastest and most accurate to find out if the district has closed or delayed their start time. This is the first place where this information will appear once determination has been made. By checking the web you can avoid missing our school district listing while watching the television or having to flip through channels because you see Hastings Public Schools listed on one channel but not on another. In addition, we will continue, as always, to have our closing information announced on KDWA Radio, 1460 AM and Channels 4, 5, 9 and 11.

Text Messaging Service Now Available to Parents
11/21/2013 12:20 PM
Hastings Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of a new service that will enhance communication by allowing the district to deliver important information to parents via SMS text messaging.

This service is not intended to replace existing means of communication, rather it will enhance them. The district will only use the service to provide information that is timely and relevant.

In order to participate in the new service, you must have a cell phone on file with the School District, and then parents must indicate willingness to receive text messages to their phones. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.

Please click above for more information on how to opt into this new service.
