Chef Mike visited McAuliffe Elementary last Tuesday to showcase the March Harvest of the Month. He made orange chicken with homemade orange ginger sauce, which is one of the Harvest of the Month items. The kids LOVED it and came back for more, while others took some time to smell the ginger root and see a rutabaga for the first time!
Chef Mike also visited Kennedy and Pinecrest to hand out more samples!
Students from McAuliffe went on a field trip to the Busted Nut. Prior to the field trip students learned and practiced restaurant etiquette and social skills. The students ordered off menus, practiced waiting, and practiced the social skills they learned in class. A special thank you to Ability 2 Believe for sponsoring the event. A good time was had by all!!!
