In our classes, through the study of the Spanish language and culture, we strive to:

  • Promote proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing of Spanish and cultural awareness.

  • Increase the learners’ communication skills.

  • Develop the learners’ skill of critical thinking.

  • Promote collaborative learning.

  • Foster a sense of humanity and friendship.

  • Prepare the learners to become citizens at local, national and international levels.

  • Develop assets to the learners’ post-secondary study, professional development and career opportunities.

Interested in joining our Spanish Honors Program?

Current Spanish students may complete an application and submit it using the link below to apply for Honors Spanish 2 or Honors Spanish 3. We recommend that students draft their answers in a google doc and then copy and paste into the google form when they are ready to submit the application.

  • Application workshop (optional): Thursday, January 23rd from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Room C329

  • Application deadline: Wednesday, January 29th at 10:00 p.m.
