Achievement Gap 2020

While no schools in the state of Minnesota administered the MCAs in the Spring of 2020 due to COVID, and that means we are unable to report on our goal, we can share some of the strategies we have been implementing:
  • Continuation of What I Need (WIN) time at elementary schools to support each student in reaching reading and math goals.
  • Continuation of Math and English Language Arts Curriculum Review cycle focused on instructional practices across all grade levels to increase depth of content understanding
  • Professional growth in each curriculum review area focusing on increased discourse and understanding state standards
  • Increased focus on student engagement strategies (including bi-weekly emails sharing various research-based strategies)
  • Implementation of AVID strategies at Hastings High School
