Hastings School District Receives Good News!

The Hastings School District was recently informed, by Xcel Energy, that we are being moved to the highest discount level available for our 2012 average of controlling our energy consumption during peak demand. During high usage times Xcel Energy will ask us to lower our consumption, if possible, because they have an extremely high demand by their customers. (Do you remember this past summer when the heat and humidity were soaring?) Xcel Energy will average out consumption, specifically during set times in the months of July and August. Due to our new rating we will get better rates for the 2013 school year which means lowered utility bills for the school district. Congrats to all of our staff who make a conscientious effort, on a daily basis, to lower our energy costs. |
