Payment & Account Information

Hastings Food & Nutrition Services uses the online account management system MyPaymentsPlus for meal prepayment. Parents are strongly encouraged to utilize this service as there is no fee to use it. All payments require registration with MyPaymentsPlus AND a school meal account with student ID number (note these are NOT the same).
Please refer to the topics below for more information about student meal accounts.

How much money is in my student's account?
  • Your student is welcome to ask any cashier about the status of their meal account balance.
  • Balances can also be checked online from your MyPaymentsPlus account (see below for how to register for a free account).

How can I add money to my student's account?

Online Payment Option
Hastings Food & Nutrition Services uses an online payment option, www.mypaymentsplus.com. The first step to using the system is to register your student on the website. This system includes options such as e-mail reminders for low balances, listing of student's cafeteria purchases and automatic payment setup. There is no fee to add money to your student's account.

Lunch Payment Drop Box
Give your student an envelope with cash or a check made payable to Hastings ISD 200 to place in the lunch payments drop box. Please include the student's first and last name and telephone number on the envelope or the check's memo line. The drop boxes are usually found in either the school's main office.

Grant funds are available to help with school lunch accounts that are past due. To learn more, contact Hastings Family Service at 651-437-7134.

How are remaining balances and refunds handled?
Year-End Remaining Balances
  • Balances stay in the student’s accounts over the summer break, whether the balance is negative or positive.
  • If a student moves to a new building, the balance will automatically transfer.

Refunds for graduating seniors or those moving out of the district
Seniors' balances left after graduation will be transferred to the next sibling’s account if possible. If there is no younger sibling to transfer the leftover balance to, a refund may be requested. Balances may also be transferred to the district Angel Fund for students in need. Send an email to  [email protected] to request a refund or to donate any balance to the district Angel Fund.

Refunds during the school year
During the school year, refunds may be requested by emailing  [email protected]. Please include your student's name, student ID number, refund amount, and mailing address where the refund is to be sent.
